A blizzard of wet leaves
Wind-stripped from the bent trees
Sheets of freezing cold rain
Fall again and again
And under dull grey skies
Not one single bird flies.
On a wet autumn day
Such as this we should stay
In the warmth of our homes
Take the chill from our bones
And simply remember
It is only November.
