Sitting here,
looking through the window,
doing nothing but be,
the feel of now comes over me.
In the stillness is a cadence,
a rhythm, a sense of
moving forward,
though nothing changes
being still
in the moment.
It all slides by so slowly.
Wind moves through leaves,
clouds float through the sky,
the bees bumble on.
Clocks tick and tick and tick.
The whistle of the refrigerator
tunes in to the tinnitus
that is only in your ears.
Close your eyes
and you can feel the world turn.
The moment is now, only now,
and forever.
It goes on and on and on.
