Anger Is An Energy

anger is a darkening thing

it brings down the light

and dims the mind

it makes none of sense

and something of nothing

and everything it touches

is magnified

and made too big to bear

anger is an energy

said the mad-eyed man

it is a dark energy

destructive and combustible

inflaming passions

and burning bridges

let loose it can lay waste

to the world

used well it can make

heroes

anger is too much for me

it beats me

defeats me

that is not my way

when anger comes

I bite my tongue

and write it all away
